LoL Worlds 2024 Teams – Who Qualified For The Main League of Legends Tournament in 2024

Worlds 2024 will bring together 20 teams from 8 regions.

Out of the 20 participants, 8 teams will start from the Play-In stage, after which 16 teams will compete in the Swiss Stage.

The tournament will take place from September 25 to November 2, 2024, in London, Paris, and Berlin.

As mentioned earlier, LoL Worlds 2024 will gather 20 teams from 8 regions. Among all the teams that qualified, the most slots were given to the representatives from LCK and LPL. Four teams from both China and Korea will attend Worlds 2024. Here is the complete list of the tournament participants:

It seems all teams will compete, but a few weeks before the start of Worlds 2024, some teams are facing roster issues. LNG Esports’ midlaner Scout, who placed 3rd in the LPL Regional Finals #1, is in a legal dispute with his former team EDG. EDG has filed a lawsuit preventing Scout from leaving the country, meaning the 2021 World Champion may likely miss the main event of 2024.

Worlds 2024 Teams Seeds

Based on the teams' performances in regional tournaments, they will start at different stages of Worlds 2024. Additionally, team seeds at Worlds 2024 are influenced by the prestige of the region, so representatives from major regions like LCK, LPL, LEC, and LCS have higher seeds than those from minor regions like PCS, VCS, and others. • Worlds 2024 Swiss Stage Teams: Hanwha Life Esports, Gen.G, DPlus KIA, T1, Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, LNG Esports, Weibo Gaming, G2 Esports, Fnatic, FlyQuest, Team Liquid.

LoL Worlds 2024 Format & Schedule

The 2024 World Championship will follow a mixed format. It will be divided into several stages:

• Play-In: 8 teams, Double-Elimination bracket, 4 teams advance.
• Swiss Stage: 16 teams, Swiss format, 8 teams advance.
• Playoffs: 8 teams, Single Elimination.

As for the schedule, we have new details. The exact dates and locations are as follows:

• Play-In stage will take place from September 25 to 29 in Berlin.
• Swiss Stage will be held from October 3 to 7 and October 10 to 13 in Berlin.
• Quarterfinals from October 17 to 20 in Paris.
• Semifinals from October 26 to 27 in Paris.
• The Grand Final will take place on November 2 in London.
