The Requirements of a Portable Professional Gaming Machine

If you take eSports or any other professional games seriously, then you should be able to play them on the go. Like a bodybuilder planning their trips around gyms, being able to stay in practice is a huge part of being competitive, but it’s often not easy. Though competitions like eSports and blackjack have become popular enough that they’re known about practically everywhere, keeping yourself equipped to play can be tricky. There are some concepts to keep in mind that can aid in this pursuit, however, provided you plan ahead.

You Can’t Beat Performance

Depending on what type of gaming you engage in, the performance of your machine can be of little concern, or the most fundamental aspect. For the simple perspective, consider what’s required from online betting services, like what you’d experience from a phone casino. Mobile casinos involve a wide range of games, from live titles like blackjack to Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em, and more casual games like slots. Regardless of what games you play, it’s never difficult to achieve a level of hardware performance to meet your needs. As long as your phone can connect to wireless points and was made in the last few years, you shouldn’t face an issue. Video games, however, are not so simple.

The most fundamental factor which determines a minimum bar in video game performance is commonly frame rate. Without this, you're delaying your inputs, taking longer to respond, and otherwise hamstringing yourself. Fortunately, most eSports titles like DOTA 2 have low requirements, but this isn’t always the case. Upcoming titles like Street Fighter 6 will require more from the player’s hardware, in which case you’ll want to be sure you can meet the recommended and not just the minimum hardware requirements.

Since you're looking at a mobile gaming system for eSports, your focus is going to be on a laptop. There is going to be a wide range of options here, but remember you don't need an expensive big-brand product to get ahead. However, you will need to keep in mind a high refresh-rate screen with low latency, otherwise all the performance in the world will be wasted. At the same time, 4K resolution can be safely avoided, as not even the pros bother with this overkill.

Finding Alternatives Onsite

If taking a laptop or phone (for some reason) is a problem, then you can also check to see if the countries you visit have nearby gaming or internet cafés in which you can practice. Some, like South Korea, are full of places called PC Bangs where you can jump right in, while other countries might have more limited choices. Just a note that the PCs even in the best cafes can be configured incorrectly, so be sure to check monitor Hz and in-game settings before starting a round.

Before setting out, our last suggestion would be to bring whatever peripherals you have at home, purchase a quality power adapter, and safely protect everything you have against travel damage. If you're keeping a phone in your pocket you're probably fine, but many laptops are not built with travel jostle in mind, so use padding if possible. Other than that, good luck out there, and remember to see if you can pick up some local tips and tricks on your journey.
