WePlay! announced summer CS: GO ranking tournament WePlay! Clutch Island
In the championship, CIS teams get together. It starts on June 16 and ends on the 28th. The organizers have already talked about the format of the tournament.
Open qualification matches will be held from June 8 to 10, through which the best teams who decided to try their hand at this tournament will be able to get to the event. Qualifications will be held in the single-elimination bracket, and meetings will be held in a series until one victory, and the final match - up to three victories.
After the open qualifiers, games will be held in closed qualification. There will be invited 5 compositions, which occupy the 6th-10th place in the major ranking. The list of participants will be added to the 3 best participants of open qualifications.
In the closed qualification, the teams will be divided into two groups and will play according to the GSL system. The two best members of each group will enter the playoffs, and the teams that take 4 places will leave the championship. Teams in 3 places will compete in an additional match to determine who will take 10th place in the tournament. In the closed qualification, 3 invitations to the main stage will be played. Invites from teams that take 1st-5th place in the Regional Major Ranking ranking will also get there.
The main stage of the tournament as well as the closed qualification will be divided into the group stage and the playoffs. In the first stage, the teams will also play according to the GSL system. Four best participants in the group stage will enter the playoffs with the double elimination grid.
As for the format of the matches, all the confrontations will be held in the Bo3 series. Invites issued to teams for participation in closed qualifiers will be announced later.
