New IEM Katowice 2021 Details Revealed

ESL has announced the full list of teams that have received a direct invitation to the CS: GO championship. Earlier, we learned about who entered the top three invited teams at the end of the ESL Pro Tour season. The six teams that received invitations took high positions in the world ranking according to ESL and were thus honored to receive invites. Their difference from the three invited teams is that the path will start from the Play-In stage, not the group stage. Illuminar also made it to the Play-In, winning the ESL Mistrzostwa Polsi. The final participant in this stage will be the triumphant ESL European Championship Winter 2020.

Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2021 will take place from 16 to 28 February and is part of the Intel Grand Slam series. The organizers have planned to hold the championship offline, but without spectators. They are also ready to go online if the coronavirus situation takes on new dimensions. The tournament will be attended by 24 teams, who will share a total prize pool of $ 1,000,000 between each other.
