Heroic and Astralis got their first points in ESL Pro League Season 14

The first game day at ESL Pro League Season 14 has come to an end. We saw three interesting meetings, in which there was a place not only for devastating results, but also for intransigence. However, the first favorites of Group A still showed themselves, earning the first points in the championship.

The first players to enter the server were Heroic, who began to taste the updated roster of Bad News Bears. However, in this fight, the intrigue was already dead at the very beginning, since the players of the Danish team already on Mirage made it clear that an easy walk for the North American guests was not expected. As a result, the first map ended with a confident 16: 1 defeat in favor of Heroic, leaving a noticeable imprint on the prospects of Bad News Bears. Contrary to expectations, the situation on Nuke has not changed, as the Danes continued to put pressure on the opponent. As a result, the North Americans only had enough for four rounds to get the first serious blow in this championship.

Next we watched the match performed by Vitality and ENCE. However, there was practically no struggle here either, since Vitality defeated ENCE with a score of 2: 0, showing confident play in their choice.

In the evening, a bright sign awaited us - Astralis versus Spirit. The match began with an enviable advantage of the Russian team. But after the victory at Dust 2, the team relaxed, showing nothing against the Danes at Inferno. As a result, it all boiled down to the Ancient map, on which Astralis first showed an excellent attack, and then a fundamental defense, having recorded the final victory with a score of 2: 1.

Today, August 17, ESL Pro League Season 14 will continue with three matches. Vitality will first try to strike another blow at the Bad News Bears. After them Astralis will play with ENCE, and in the evening we will watch the battle between Heroic and Spirit.

ESL Pro League Season 14 is coming online from August 16 to September 12. 24 teams from Europe, Brazil, CIS and North America are competing for a total tournament prize pool of $ 750,000 and a lot of ranking points in the ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier tables.
