CS:GO got new FLASHPOINT league

Previously, everyone called this league B Site, but now we know that its official name is FLASHPOINT. In 2020, two FLASHPOINT seasons will be held. The total prize pool of both seasons will be $ 2,000,000. Ten teams managed to get places in the league, six of which have already been announced. Well- known bands to perform in the first FLASHPOINT season included Cloud9 , MIBR , MAD Lions , Team Dignitas , Gen.G and c0ntact Gaming (formerly known as CR4ZY). Four other members will be named later. The two remaining quotas will go to the teams that win the qualifiers for the teams from North America, South America and Europe. The LAN final of the qualifying round will be held in Los Angeles.

As for the format of the event, it will not be the most common. Among the twelve participants, representatives of the CSPPA commission will select three strongest teams that will fall into three different groups and choose their first rivals there. Teams that will be selected by the strongest participants, in turn, will also make a choice of their opponent and this will continue until all three groups are staffed. It is interesting that the last participants will have the right to choose to make changes in the existing groups. Thus they will be given a head start.

As for the matches, they will be held in GSL format, and meeting participants will play in the Bo3 series. After the first series of matches ended, the best participants will have the opportunity to choose their opponent in the second series. After two rounds, the results will be summed up and the participants in the groups will receive the appropriate rewards

• 1st place - 75 points
• 2nd place - 50 points
• 3rd place - 30 points
• 4th place - 25 points

The eight teams with the highest score available will go to the playoffs, where the teams will compete in the double-elimination grid. Matches as in the group stage will be held in a series of up to two victories. The four participants with the lowest score earned will leave the championship.

The main stage of FLASHPOINT starts in March. At the moment, neither the exact dates nor the details of the distribution of the prize fund are known. Everything will be known later.
