Swedish team Metizport were a little known tier-2 team before this tournament, with no thoughts of success on the tier-1 scene. However, despite their Underpassdog status, the team surprised everyone with their play and sent Team Falcons with s1mple in the squad home, they won the match 2:1 pointing out the problem points of their opponents. It was a huge disappointment for Falcons, as well as for the fans of the team and s1mple in particular, not the kind of Counter-Strike 2 debut they expected from the CS:GO legend. The second opponent for Metizport was the team Monte, which before the tournaments said goodbye to captain sdy and riffler br0, who was bought out by Astralis. However, according to BLAST regulations, Monte couldn't make two substitutions before the tournament and sdy played his "last dance" for Monte. But he didn't help them and Metizport destroyed Monte with a score of 2:0, proving once again that you shouldn't write them off.
