PGL Major Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B is slowly but surely coming to its logical conclusion. Although today is the penultimate day of play, the 1-2 basket will end with Guild Eagles vs Preasy Esports.
It's very simple. The winner will get one more chance to make it to the Decider Bracket, while the loser will drop out of the race for a place in the first Major tournament in Counter-Strike 2 history.
Let's see which of the teams will be stronger and will be able to extend their stay at PGL Major Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B, and who will have to say goodbye to the prospects of visiting Denmark.

Preasy Form
Let's open our match analysis with a look at Preasy's form. In this match, they play the number one, and the odds for the Danish club to win are at around 1.55.
Preasy are a relatively new team. The Danish club began its ascent to the top of the Counter-Strike 2 competitive scene in 2023, or rather in the second half of last season.
It was a rough start: TOP-32 at ESEA Season 45: Main Division - Europe, TOP-8 at Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 2023: Regular Season, TOP-11 Gaming Devoted Become The Best: Series #2 and Preasy Summer Cup 2023. Next was an appearance at CCT North Europe Series #7: Closed Qualifier, where they took TOP 1-4, which allowed them to play at CCT Series, namely CCT East Europe Series #1 and CCT North Europe Series #7. On the first one we took TOP-1, and on the second one - TOP-8.
During September-October we played a lot of Tier-B tournaments. That was Top-24 at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #2, Top-6 at EPL Season 10 and Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters Fall 2023, with Top-6 there.
The autumn period saw the first successes: Top 3 at CCT Online Finals #5 and Top 4 at CCT East Europe Series #4. The main achievement of the year, however, was waiting ahead. In November 2023, Preasy won CCT Online Finals #4 and later won EPL Season 12.

In 2024, like all teams, they played in all sorts of qualifiers. These were qualifications for IEM Chengdu 2024, where they took TOP-32, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier B, where they finished on TOP-11. They made it directly to PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR B after beating 3Dmax in Decider.
The last tournament before RMR B was the European Pro League Season 13 Championship, where they defeated ECSTATIC in the Grand Final.
At PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B Preasy Long Sogpeg were coming off two losses. However, both games were pretty close: 9-13 against Heroic with 9-13 against OG, and they barely beat Pera (2-1) in the third match.
Preasy's Mapple
The most successful map for Preasy is Inferno. The Danes have an insane winrate there: they have lost only 1 match in 13 matches.
It goes well on Overpass and Nuke. Preasy has 5 wins and 3 losses on the former, and 9 wins and 6 losses on the latter.
The worst card, however, is Vertigo, where Preasy has 46% wins with 13 matches.

Form Guild Eagles
We continue the match analysis with the Guild Eagles form. In this match Kosovars are playing as number two with the odds of winning at around 2.5.
Guild Eagles is a new name, but the team is quite famous. They are the same Bad News Eagles that rocked last year, making it to PGL Antwerp 2022. They finished in the top 16 there, but the fact that they made it to the Major and made it to the legends stage is something to be respected.
Guild, David Beckham's club, thought so and signed a team from Kosovo. By the way, before that Bad News Eagles made a lot of noise this season: they finished Top 4 at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR A and Top 2 at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2023, after which they went to the Paris Major. There even managed to improve last year's result and entered the TOP-14.
From the acceptable results were TOP-4 at CCT North Europe Series #7 and RES Eastern European Masters: Fall 2023. There were also performances at CCT North, East and Central Europe. Not so good everywhere: two top-8s, one top-16.

Under the Guild Eagles tag, the ex-Bad News Eagles managed to attend three championships. They were CCT East Europe Series #4, CCT Online Finals #4 and A1 Gaming League Season 7. At the first one, the Kosovars finished in the top 16 after losing to Team Space with a 1-2 score, at the second one they finished in the top 12 after losing to ALTERNATE aTTaX and finally in the top 8.
CCT Online Finals #5 Guild Eagles started with a win over Vertex (2-1). Then the opponent was much more serious and the result was the same - in the second round of the top grid Guild Eagles lost to BIG with the score 0-2.
In the match for the third round of the lower grid CCT Online Finals #5 Eagles met ALTERNATE aTTaX. "The Eagles had a tough time, but got the 2-1 win.
Guild Eagles faced Anonymo Esports in a match to advance to the quarterfinals of the lower grid. "The Eagles proved to be stronger and did not feel their opponents. Then there was a serious test with a match against G2 Esports, which Guild Eagles coped with: a 2-1 victory allowed the Eagles to get into the top 3 and that was the end of their journey through CCT Online Finals #5: they lost to Aurora in the match for the grand final.
At the end of last season Guild played two more tournaments: YaLLa Compass Fall 2023 and Gaming Devoted Become The Best. Both with mixed success: top 8 at YaLLa and top 4 at Gaming Devoted.
In 2024 played 3 qualifiers andVent: IEM Chengdu 2024: European Open Qualifier #1, EPL Season 19: European Conference and TOP-8 at IEM Chengdu 2024: European Qualifier.
At PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B, things are going very poorly for the Eagles. "The Eagles lost two matches, against MOUZ and ENCE, but they played 14-16 against MOUZ and 6-13 against ENCE. I mean, the ideas are clearly there. They were evident in the match against Nexus, where Eagles won 2-1, but not without problems.
Guild Eagles Mapple
Inferno remains Guild's favourite map. The Eagles have played it three times in the last 3 months and won all their games there. Nuke is also doing well, with MOUZ winning 3 out of 4 Nuke games played.
Among the good options are Vertigo and Ancient, where Guild has 2 wins in 3 games.
The most undesirable map is Mirage. Guild Eagles have played it 6 times, but have won only once.

Previously the teams played each other at CCT Online Finals #4 and Guild won cleanly.
