We continue our look at the Roobet Cup 2023 tournament, where teams from all over the world are fighting for a pretty decent prize pool of $250,000. The group stage matches continue and in one of these games we will see a match between BIG and 9INE.

The European derby awaits us in Quartet C. Both teams have already won their first match and will now challenge for a place in the main stage of the tournament.

We start the match analysis with the analysis of BIG's form. In this match the German club will play as favourites.

BIG have participated in a lot of championships, but there were not many decent results. They started the season with a top-9 finish at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023, and continued with a top-16 finish at IEM Extreme Masters Katowice 2023.

There was also an appearance at ESL Pro League Season 17 with a top-20 there. The failures partially managed to cap off the Top-4 at the Elis Invitational Winter 2023, where the team reached the Top-4.

In the middle of the year, the Germans failed to qualify for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, finishing top-11 at RMR Europe and then top-3 at qualification. In the second half of the year they started playing CCT Series championships, where it is worth noting CCT Online Finals #1, with TOP-4, CCT West Europe Series $4 with TOP-2.

Back to the S-Tier tournaments with BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023 with Top-9, and then Top-24 at IEM Cologne 2023.

Prior to the ESL Pro League Season 18 Long Round, the team played at Thunderpick World Championship 2023: European Series #1 with a top-2 finish. There was also a top-8 at CCT East Europe Series #7 and a win at CCT Europe Series #7.

At ESL Pro League Season 18 they debuted with a match against Monte. The Ukrainian club fought honourably, but in the end they were defeated by Ledgeil with the score 1-2, putting BIG in the semi-finals of Group B at ESL Pro League Season 18.

In the previous match, BIG made perhaps the biggest sensation of the tournament. The Germans defeated Heroic, sending them to the bottom of the group.

Next, BIG played another big European club - ENCE. The Finns failed to win (1-2), but BIG made it to the play-offs, straight into the second round. That's where their ESL Pro League Season 18 journey came to an end.

BIG Ledge and Eternal Fire in the second round of play-offs with the score 0-2. Thus, the Germans took the EPL S18 top-12.

In the match before that, BIG played against 9INE. The Germans defeated their visions quite easily, closing the match with a score of 2-0.

Afterwards, BIG outplayed ENCE and advanced to the finals of BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023. However, BIG were not enough for the final as C9 won 2-0.

Prior to the Roobet Cup 2023, BIG played two CCT tournaments. It was CCT North Europe Series #8 and CCT East Europe Series #3. They finished in the top 16 at the latter, but won the North European tournament, beating Spirit 2-0 in the grand final.

Form 9INE

Let's continue with the analysis of 9INE's form. In this match they play as a second team.

9INE had a very fruitful first half of the year, which allowed the Polish club to climb into the top 20 of the world. However, the lion's share of the events played were TIR-2 events.

9INE managed to get a number of victories at events like OMEN WGR Challenge 2023, GAM3RS_X Polish Clash and other local tournaments. However, the main achievements came in the spring of this year.

In April, 9INE triumphed at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: Europe RMR B, which opened the way to BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The Major itself ended for the Poles in the top 16.

Before the IEM Cologne 2023 Long Circuit, 9INE picked up another important win. They qualified for the big-budget Gamers8 by beating SAW in last chance qualification.

9INE is one of the most stable Play-In IEM Cologne teams. The club has been playing in such a roster for half a year already.

The first Play-In IEM Cologne 2023 opponent for 9INE was OG. The Poles won with a score of 19-17.

Then there was a loss from Fnatic (0-2), and then a minimal sensation in the form of a victory over Liquid in the match for the exit to the group stage. Then 9INE dealt with the North American club with a score of 2-1.

In the first match of the play-offs, 9INE were up against ENCE, but came up a little short. The Finns turned the game around on the decisive Mirage and sent 9INE to the bottom of the group stage.

The team finished their performance at IEM Cologne 2023 with a match against Cloud9. The Poles failed to defeat the more prestigious opponent, and lost with a score of 1-2 and left the championship.

Before the Long Cologne ESL Pro League Season 18, the team visited Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and Gamers8. Both tournaments ended for 9INE at the top 16.

At EPL Season 18, the team played their first match against Complexity. The Americans put up a solid fight and pulled out a win, which was a mini sensation considering the Poles' play in recent months.

In the previous match 9INE played against Eternal Fire. The Turks were a few goals stronger than the Poles and closed the series 2-0 without any problems.

ESL Pro League Season 18 9INE finished ignominiously. They were eliminated by Lynn Vision at the TOP-32 stage, which is a very difficult result to call.

Next up was the European BLAST Showdown, where 9INE finished in the top 8. They also played at the same CCT North Europe Series #8, where they managed to get to the TOP-4, but then got eliminated by Spirit.
