The battles in the American city begin with the group stages. We will talk about Group A, where among the contenders for the exit there are, among others, Monte and Vitality.

We are trying to figure out who will be stronger in the match Vitality - Monte and will pass to the next round of the top stage of IEM Dallas 2024, and who will have to continue the way to the play-offs on the lower grid.

Vitality's form

We start the analysis of the Vitality vs Monte match with an analysis of Vitality's form. The French club are favourites in this match with odds to win at around 1.2.

The first half of the 2023 season has been a real treat for Vitality. It started with a win at the spring Blast Premier groups and Top 6 at the top IEM Katowice 2023 and ESL Pro League Season 4. Next was Top 3 at European RMR B and triumph at the most domestic Major e - BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. After winning the Paris Major e Vitality took the top 2 at the spring finals of BLAST, Ledge and Heroic in the grand finals.

The last tournament before IEM Katowice was BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023. There Vitality showed a worse result than expected, with the top 6 in the end.

After the triumphant Paris Major a Vitality said goodbye to Dupreeh, and flameZ took his place. The "newcomer" Vitality has already had time to adapt and looks good: the young Israeli has KDA 1.09 and this is the third result of the team. He, by the way, started his ascent on the big stage with OG.

In their debut match at IEM Cologne 2023, Vitality only confirmed their status as one of the main favourites in Group B. OG tried, but were defeated 16-6 by Mirage and 16-13 by Anubis.

After defeating OG, Vitality took on MOUZ, who were dealt an even bigger blow by the Bees, 16-4 and 16-5.

In the match for seeding in the play-offs Vitality met another top club - G2 Esports. A nerve-wracking game where Vitality pulled out a 19-17 win on Inferno in the extra time, but then lost 10-16 to Vertigo and 8-16 to Mirage.

Starting the play-offs from the first round stumbled Cloud9. "Cloud9 tried to fight back and almost succeeded on the second map, but ZywOo and company were undeterred: 16-11 Mirage and 19-17 Inferno. However, this was the end of Vitality's stay at the tournament: they met ENCE in the semi-finals and lost with 1-2 score and dropped out of the championship.

The top 4 at IEM Cologne did not embarrass Vitality at all, on the contrary - it fuelled them. Before the end of the year they pocketed 3 more wins at title tournaments: they took revenge on ENCE in the Gamers8 Grand Final and beat FaZe twice at BLAST tournaments (Fall Final 2023 and World Final 2023).

Before playing at PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B played BLAST Premier: Spring Groups, where they passed the group stage without any problems and at IEM Katowice 2024, where they failed very unexpectedly, finishing top-12.

At the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024: European RMR B Vitality stomped GamerLegion and Heroic without any problems, giving up a total of 5 rounds in two maps. And then it was worse - a loss by C9, but a win over ENCE allowed Vitality to reach the Major.

Vitality attended the first Major tournament of the season - PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024, where they managed to reach the top 4, but Ledge and FaZe Clan. Later they played at ESL Pro League Season 19, where they again started very cheerfully and easily made it to the grand finals, but were swept by MOUZ.

The best Vitality map is Nuke. There are 4 matches and 4 wins.

Anubis (7 matches, 85% wins), Mirage (4 matches, 75% wins) are very good. In general, Vitality doesn't have any bad cards that they play. Vertigo - 71% wins in 7 matches, Inferno and Overpass - 3 wins in 5 matches.

Form Monte

We continue our review of the match Monte vs Vitality with the analysis of the Ukrainian club's form. In this match Monte play as the number two with odds to win at around 3.8.

After a great run at BLAST.tv Major 2023, Monte left the headliner of that roster - BOROS. Now the Monte lineup looks as follows:

Before ESL Pro League Season 18 we played a number of local championships. Among them were CCT series tournaments, where Monte took TOP-4, and TOP-2 at CCT North Europe Series #7, and there was also Pinnacle Cup V, where the Ukrainian club again finished in TOP-4.

In the debut match at ESL Pro League Season 18 they met with the Germans from BIG. As expected, the match was equal, especially on the first two maps, but the decisive one was very lopsided: 16-5 in favour of BIG and Monte fell to the lower grid.

In the first round of the lower grid Monte played with the nominally weakest participants of Basket B - Australians from Rooster. It looked like they were going to close with a 2-0 score, but it turned out that there was no need to be happy before the time, and Monte Ledge were on the first card, but then cameback, thus turning the series in their favour.

In the previous match Monte played against MIBR. As in all other matches on ESL Pro League, the game was tense and hard, but in the end the Brazilians triumphed.

Next, Monte managed to get through the last chance net. First they outplayed Heroic with a score of 1-2, and then took revenge on MIBR.

After a real success in the group, Monte made it to the first round of play-offs. There they showed a very serious level of play, defeating Fnatic, Complexity and then Vitality. They were beaten by NaVi, winning the semi-finals 2-0.

Before playing at Roobet Cup 2023, Monte played at IEM Sydney 2023, where they showed a pretty good, but not perfect, game. Monte finished the Sydney tournament at the top-8 stage.

Monte played their debut match at Roobet Cup 2023 against OG. They won 2-0, running over their opponents on class.

Monte qualified for the Roobet Cup 2023 play-offs after a solid win over NiP. The match, by the way, was very intense, although it ended 2-0, the two maps were a struggle: 13-11 Overpass, 16-14 Mirage.

In the quarter-finals Monte faced Movistar Riders. The Ukrainian club defeated their Spanish counterparts 2-0. Then there was another victory over Aurora, but in a more difficult match (2-1 in favour of Monte). But the Roobet Cup 2023 grand final was not enough. Monte met Vp, gave a fight, but lost with a score of 1-2.

In parallel with the game at Roobet Cup 2023 Monte played at Thunderpick World Championship 2023, where at the time of writing this betting thread they were waiting for their semi-final opponent.

In the first High Group match at ESL Challenger Season 46, the team played against a tough French ѕtask Looking4Org. So tough that those won with a score of 2-1.

In the last match of the group stage Monte faced SINNERS Esports. Being the clear favourite to win, the Ukrainian club lost to the Czechs somehow toothlessly, thus sending themselves to the first round of the lower net. As a result, Monte withdrew from the tournament due to a busy schedule.

Next, the club had a very good Challenger in Atlanta, where they managed to reach the top 4, failed IEM Katowice 2024 with the final top 12 and won the RES Eastern European Masters: Spring 2024 with the subsequent entry to the Spring Showdown from BLAST.

At PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR B started with a loss to ECSTATIC, then beat NEXUS and then Ledge and Apeks. It all ended with a loss to Astralis.

Monte then finished in the Top 12 at RES European Series #1 and Top 8 at BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024. After that, Monte was supposed to play at IEM China 2024, but didn't make it there due to travel problems. We managed to go to Global Esports Tour Rio de Janeiro 2024, where the Ukrainian club failed to show the game: TOP-8.

We visited ESL Pro League Season 19, where we managed to fight in the group, but in the end to take only TOP-16, losing to FaZe with the score 1-2.

Mapule Monte

Monte's best map is Ancient. There Monte has 7 wins in 9 matches. However, Mirage can also be called a signature choice for the Ukrainian club: it was played 13 times and won 10 of them.

Things are not bad on Anubis, where Monte has 8 wins and 4 losses.

The worst is Vertigo. There Monte have a statistic of 2-4.

In this match my bet is definitely on Vitality. Monte go to try out the new squad and it is unlikely that they will be able to put up a fight against such giants as Vitality, even in spite of the Bo1 series.
