On the Twitter page of The International, information has appeared about the five esportsmen who have become the leaders of the championship. There were players like Jin 'flyfly' Jii from Invictus Gaming, Danil '~ GpK' Skutin and Yegor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko from Virtus.pro, Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen from Team Secret and Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen from OG.

  • Jin 'flyfly' Jii received the most kills with 192 kills during The International 10. The Chinese esports player recently managed to set four new records, as we talked about earlier. If you missed this article, you can read about flyfly's achievements here.
  • Danil '~ GpK' Skutin was involved in murders 395 times, whether he was an accomplice or the very player who made the frag
  • Lasse 'MATUMBAMAN' Urpalainen distinguished himself with love for Roshan's murders - a huge monster fell at the hands of a Finn 17 times
  • Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen became the main ambassador for dealing damage to his opponents - during his participation in The International 10 he caused 631,884 damage to opponents
  • Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko managed to get a Godlike kill streak seven times (9 kills in a row without deaths)

The teams, from which the aforementioned esportsmen distinguished themselves, have made good progress in The International 10. Invictus Gaming beat Team Spirit 2-1 in their last fight in the upper bracket and advanced to the second round. Team Secret beat OG 2-0 and, like Invictus Gaming, advanced to the second round of the Upper Bracket. There Secret, by the way, will compete with iG directly. Virtus.pro defeated Vici Gaming in the upper bracket with a score of 2-1 and advanced to the second round, where they will compete with PSG.LGD for reaching the final of the upper bracket. OG, unlike all of the aforementioned teams, is paving the way to victory through the lower bracket. There, after being defeated by Team Secret, they defeated the Quincy Crew and advanced to the third round of the losers' bracket. Earlier we talked about how the Hassan brothers reacted to the fight with each other (OG vs Quincy Crew). You can read more about this here.

It is noteworthy that OG at The International 2018 and The International 2019 fought their way to success through the upper bracket, and not through the lower one like this time. The last roster that managed to win The International, going through the lower bracket, was Team Liquid in 2017. Then KuroKy and his teammates were defeated in the first matches of the upper bracket and made the rest of the way to victory through the lower one.

On October 12, the playoffs began. According to the results of the previous group stage, Thunder Predator and SG Esports have already completed their path in the championship. The teams took 17-18 places in the standings and received rewards of $ 100,000, which is 0.25% of the total fund. The dropouts were later joined by Elephant, beastcoast, Team Aster and Team Undying. Elephant couldn't beat Evil Geniuses, beastcoast lost against Alliance, Team Aster couldn't do anything with the power of the Quincy Crew, and Fnatic sent Undying home to pack their bags. The four participants who took 13-16 places in the standings will receive cash prizes of $ 600,300, which is 1.5% of the total prize pool. Fnatic and Quincy Crew could not beat Team Spirit and OG, respectively, and received $ 800,400 each, which is 2% of the prize pool.
