ESL One Fall 2021: Virtus.pro secured their way into the upper bracket of the playoffs

All matches of the third game day have come to an end, which means now is a great time to sum up the interim results.

In the first two matches, as we said earlier, Alliance was unable to take a single card in the fight against PSG.LGD, and Team Empire fought Liquid and came to a draw. In the second two confrontations, SG e-sports were defeated against beastcoast, and Virtus.pro beat Tundra Esports without any problems. On the first map, of course, difficulties arose, as a result of which it ended only 50 minutes after the start, but on the second map it went much easier and VP prevailed in 34 minutes. This allowed the CIS team to become the first participant in the playoff stage and at the same time secure an exit to the upper bracket.

The next two confrontations were without draws. Team Spirit defeated Creepwave with a score of 2-0, and PSG.LGD did not concede a single map in the fight against Team Liquid. The confrontation involving Alliance and beastcoast, as well as SG e-sports and Team Empire ended with a score of 1-1.

ESL One Fall 2021 began on August 21st and will end on the 29th. The total prize fund of the Dota 2 championship is $ 400,000, and 12 teams like Alliance, Team Liquid, PSG.LGD, Virtus.pro, Team Spirit, Team Empire and others are involved in its distribution among each other. The winner will take home the main prize of $ 175,000. The vice-champion will have to settle for a prize of $ 85,000, while the bronze medalist will receive $ 45,000. The smallest prize will go to the teams that finish their way in last place in the groups - they will earn $ 5,000 each.
