Almost all qualifiers are over, and we only have to find out the name of the two remaining teams that will play at The International. One of these two is the 5th representative of China.
Closed qualifiers from the Chinese region will start on July 7. Teams from the most competitive region will fight for the only ticket to The International.
True, the qualifiers for the teams this year should become more "sparing". And the point is that the main grandees (PSG.LGD, IG, Vici Gaming and Aster) are already at The International.
The "Big" Chinese four, with their direct passage, greatly simplified the task of the teams from the closed qualifiers. But this does not mean that now the main favorites will have an easy walk.
And this also applies to RNGs with LBZS, because as for me, they are capable of performing quite well. Whether this happens or not, we'll find out soon, but for now, let's move on to the match.
RNG form
As usual, we start with the favorite of the series. This is RNG.
China's formerly title team is going through hard times in 2021. In the first DPC season, they did not qualify and were forced to play in the second league.
In the lower echelon, RNG managed to climb into the TOP-2 and earn a slot in the elite league. Here's the truth already in the second season, they successfully lost it, taking the 7th line.
RNG Recent Results
- Defeat from Team Aster with a score of 1-2
- Lost to PSG.LGD with a score of 0-2
- Lost to PSG.LGD with a score of 0-2
- Defeat PSG.LGD 2-1
- Lost to IG 0-2
Although the RNGs were eliminated from the first division, they gained experience. But LBZS also managed to play with the giants.
LBZS form
In the 2021 season, the LBZS practically followed the fate of the RNG. Like RNG, they managed to play in the elite division (DPC season 1) and in the second league (DPC season 2).
In the first season, they predictably took the 8th place, and in the second league season 2, they took the 2nd line. So the picture is almost similar to RNG.
A significant difference between LBZS and RNG is the game at i-League 2021. The latter got a ton of gaming experience against the best, having played 14 episodes within i-League 2021, which LBZS cannot boast of.
Latest results LBZS
- Defeat Motivate.Trust Gaming 2-0
- Lose from OB Esports x Neon with a score of 0-2
- Defeat Yangon Galacticos 2-1
- Defeat Motivate.Trust Gaming 2-1
- Lose at OB Esports x Neon 3-1
Although LBZS have not had a lot of experience of playing against elite teams lately, they have played enough with teams of their weight category.
Personal meeting history
Previously, the teams have not met in official matches. The game in the playoffs of the Chinese qualifiers will be the debut confrontation between the teams.
The outcome of the fight
If you look exclusively at the names and tags of the teams, then the RNG will win an unconditional victory, but in reality everything is not so simple. After DPC season 2, RNG lost one of the key performers - Super, replacing him with RedPanda.
Such a replacement is likely to be negative, and therefore I think that RNG will be hard at these qualifiers. This is a good chance for LBZS, but as for me, they will only claim 1 won map.
Result: handicap +1.5 on LZBS.
