As part of the regular DPC season in Asia, BOOM Esports and T1 will fight. The fight looks quite interesting, and therefore I propose to take a closer look at it.
BOOM Esports Form
Let's start with the analysis of the BOOM Esports form. So far, they are having a pretty good season and are in second place in the table, but will this last for a long time?
I have doubts about this. Ahead they have a match with Fnatic, who, although they look absolutely toothless in 2021, should not be written off.
Before that, BOOM had already defeated Execration, who, in turn, dealt with the same Fnatic without a chance, and Lilgun, the absolute outsider of the second season. The expected defeat BOOM suffered in the match against OB Esports x Neon.
History of the last 5 matches of BOOM Esports
- Lose from OB Esports x Neon with a score of 0-1
- 0-1 defeat to TNC Predator
- Defeat Execration 2-1
- Defeat Lilgun 2-0
- Lose from OB Esports x Neon with a score of 0-2
As we can see, in the last matches BOOM, if they lose, then to strong TIR-1 teams. Is it possible to call the current T1 such a team?
Form T1
Let's move on to discussing the most interesting. T1 and what happens to them.
So far, nothing critical has happened with the third team of Southeast Asia last season. A performance in a major can of course be considered a total failure, but we will still make a concession for playing with a standin.
Moreover, in that Major, T1 were still able to beat the same bloodless Nigma and did not fall face down in the mud. But with the new season, new questions arose.
Results of last 5 matches T1
- Lost to Team Liquid 0-2
- Defeat Nigma 2-0
- Lost to PSG.LGD with a score of 0-2
- Lose at Omega Esports 1-2
- Defeat Lilgun 2-0
With the Singapore Major, everything is clear - there T1 played with a substitution and so on, so on, so on. But now, they are fully assembled, but lose to the team from the lower division.
Of course, Omega are still guys who can even catch on getting to the next major, but still they will be T1 in terms of status. You have to prove it in the match against BOOM.
Personal meeting history
The clubs have already played a decent pool of competitive games, but we will only be interested in the last few meetings. And then the situation is in favor of T1.
Of the last 4 matches, they have celebrated a victory 3 times. The only BOOM game won took place back in July 2020.
Match outcome
Describing the form of the teams above, while looking at the situation in the title SEA region, I realized that this region can and most likely will surprise. As for me, in the second season, it is in SEA that a serious struggle can flare up.
Speaking specifically about this fight, then I would like to believe in BOOM. However, I still will not do this, and therefore I will bet on T1 (but we will not skip live).
Outcome: T1 wins.
