Gambit Esports will receive 0.6% of the 2020 World Championship prize pool

The reason why Gambit Esports will receive a portion of the prize money is because they are coming to China on the occasion of the Unicorns of Love insurance. The latter had visa problems and Gambit Esports flew to China to secure them. As a result, UoL still managed to get into the competition and at the moment they are still competing in the League of Legends World Championship.

According to Gambit, Riot Games assumed all costs of the organization, including visa, flights, hotel accommodation and meals. In a statement, Gambit said that, together with Unicorns of Love, they applied to China for a visa so that the team could attend the tournament regardless of the outcome. Later it became known that UoL had problems with visas, and Gambit began to gather in Shanghai. Despite the fact that Unicorns of Love directly participate in the 2020 World Championship, Gambit Esports got the opportunity to train with the best players in the world, namely, with the participants of the ongoing LoL championship.

The 2020 World Championship runs from September 25 to October 31. The total prize pool has not yet been named, as it is collected during the championship using a crowdfunding system, rewarding players with various in-game things that contribute to the prize money.
