Welcome to EGamersWorld.
The LPL Summer 2024 play-offs continue. The biggest regional split of the season is heating up.
We will be talking about the Top 4 stage, which means that Long will be the Double-Elimination stage. In the second match we'll be treated to a match between TES and LNG Esports, and this match is definitely worth its candle.
We're trying to figure out who from the TES - LNG pairing will be stronger and make it to the next round, and who will continue to fight for a trip to Worlds 2024 in the lower grid.
Let's go.
TOP Esports Form
Let's open the match breakdown with an analysis of TES' match form. They will play in this match as favourites with odds to win at around 1.6.
In 2022, Top Esports twice finished top-2 in their home league and then played at the 2022 Worlds, where they finished top-10. In the new season, the situation is slightly worse: they finished top-7 in the LPL Spring 2023, managing to qualify for the play-offs but failing to win a single game there.
- Tes Esports roster: 369, Tian, Creme, JackeyLove, Meiko.
The group stage for TOP Esports was pleasant, but far from perfect. TES shared the top 4 of the regular season with LNG, winning 12-4 in the series.
In their first play-offs match, TES faced serious resistance from EDG. TES defeated their counterparts by a score of 3-2.
TES fell to the bottom seed after a clash with Bilibili Gaming. That match ended in a 3-1 victory for the latter. Further bad luck continued in the lower grid of LPL Summer 2023. In the match for life at the tournament TES met LNG Esports, tried to impose a fight, but were powerless, lost with a score of 1-3 and left the tournament on the 4th line.
TES later played at the LPL Regional Finals 2023, where they tried to make it to the Worlds. Again they came up just short, as TES Ledge beat WBG 2-3, thus losing their chances of making it to Worlds 2023.
TES also had NEST 2023, where TES did not make it out of the group, finishing 2-1. The group stage of Demacia Cup 2023 was quite easy for TOP Esports: they didn't lose a single match in Group D and easily made it to the main stage. However, in the play-offs, TES did not have the same ease: TOP Esports lost their first play-offs match to Ledgeiv JDG 2-3, which is not too bad considering the overall condition of the teams during the last season.
TOP Esports had a very good LPL Spring 2024 regular season: the team went 13-3, thus advancing straight to the Double-Elimination stage. In their first round of play-offs, TES played against JD Gaming and easily stomped them 3-0. Next were BLG in the match for the play-offs and there unfolded a real drama with a 3-2 victory in favour of Bilibili Gaming. In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TES played against JD Gaming and were outplayed for the second time.
In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TOP Esports played against Bilibili Gaming and lost 1-3.
In the first match of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 Top Esports easily defeated LOUD with a score of 2-0. In the Bracket Stage match, TES played against Fnatic, where they won 2-1. They made their Bracket Stage debut with a solid 3-0 win over Liquid. Next was a defeat to Gen.G, followed by a loss to G2 Esports and, as a result, a top-6 finish.
In the first match of Esports World Cup 2024, TES defeated Gen.G and then defeated G2 Esports. However, they were unlucky to fall to T1 in the grand finals and were unable to beat them.
At LPL Summer 2024 TES confidently passed the first stage, taking the 1st place in the basket with a score of 6-0. Rumble Stage LPL Summer 2024 JD Gaming finished with a score of 6-2, falling short of the top 2 and reaching the later stage of play-offs of the same series. However, that didn't stop them from beating Weibo Gaming 3-1 without much trouble.

LNG Esports uniforms
We continue the analysis of the match LNG - TOP Esports with the analysis of LNG Esports form. Here they are playing as number two with odds to win around 2.2, which for this stage of the LPL Summer 2024 is not far behind.
In 2022, LNG began their ascent to the top of the Chinese League of Legends. Top 6 at LPL Spring 2022, but it got better: in the summer split LNG Esports made Top 4 at LPL Summer 2023.
They also played at the regional finals in an attempt to qualify for the Worlds 2022, but had no luck. LNG Esports finished in the top 3.
At LPL Spring 2023, after a good group stage, the team finished in the top 6. Not to say bad, but not very good either.
- LNG Esports lineup: Zika, Weiwei, Scout, Gala, Mark.
LNG maintained their class at LPL Summer 2023. The team played a 12-5 regular season, which allowed them to finish in the top 4 and directly advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The first play-offs opponent for LNG was Top Esports. The match ended on map 5 with a 3-2 victory for LNG.
They got here after defeat from the champions of LPL Spring 2023, and at the same time Mid-Season Invitational 2023 - JD Gaming. And defeat in a fairly even game, which ended with 5 maps.
In the next series LNG Esports met with TES. In the match for the exit to the top 3, the once titled club was unable to do anything against the obviously charged in the summer split LNG. As a result, the latter won 3-1.
Next up was the match to advance to the grand finals and a battle with Bilibili Gaming. Finalists LPL Spring 2023 and MSI 2023 could not oppose their colleagues and as a result Ledgeili with the score 1-3.
Having reached the Grand Final of LPL Summer 2023 LNG had every chance to defeat the armoured train called JD Gaming and almost took advantage of them - they lacked one map. LPL Summer 2023 Grand Final ended with the score 3-2 in favour of JDG.
LNG Esports started their performance at Worlds 2023 with a match against Fnatic. Scout literally single-handedly swatted the Orange on their Azir, crushing their opponents on mid with a score of 11-0.
In the second match of Worlds 2023 LNG again faced the representatives of the Western World of League of Legends: this time the number two team from North America, Cloud9. Once again LNG defeated their counterparts on class, although C9 were more vigorous and managed to impose Long Sogpega on the match, but lost in a brawl on the centre line after a Baron takedown.
LNG Esports lost to JDG in the match to advance to the Worlds 2023 play-offs. However, they managed to advance to the main stage at the second attempt, beating KT Rolster 2-1.
However, it was not possible to stay in the play-offs for long. In the first match LNG met with their principal rival from JD Gaming and lost 0-3.
Before the start of LPL Spring 2024 LNG Esports tested their strength at Demacia Cup 2023. There the team played in the first round of play-offs, where they received an invitation, but lost in the first round against Rare Atom, which was a kind of sensation. However, Demacia Cup has never been a tournament of LPL level, and at LPL Spring 2024 LNG took the top 6, which is a bit "not suitable" for the status of LNG.
At the LPL Summer 2024 LNG Long Long qualified from Group C, where they faced big problems, but still made it to the next stage with a score of 3-3. They bounced back at the Rumble Stage, where they shared the top 1 with Bilibili Gaming, thus guaranteeing themselves the top 4 right away.

History of head-to-head meetings TOP Esports - LNG Esports
In the season 2024 the teams have played each other three times: the score is 2-1 in favour of TES.
Predicted result of LNG Esports vs TES at LPL Summer 2024
This should be a pretty beautiful match and evenly matched, which is the most important thing. I don't think that one side will easily outplay the other and I expect at least 4 games. If we talk about the winner, I will still believe in TES, as they have already warmed up during the play-offs of LPL Summer 2024 and have beaten LNG more often during the year.
Bottom line: TES wins.
