We will look at the clash of the champions of their leagues, i.e. LPL and LEC champions. Will G2 Esports be able to overcome the Swiss Stage barrier or will BLG expectedly win.
Let's go.
Bilibili Gaming uniforms
We open the analysis of the match Bilibili Gaming - G2 Esports with the analysis of Bilibili Gaming form. In this match they play in the status of clear favourites, and the odds for a win are at around 1.3.
Last season BLG broke into the top 2 of the Chinese region with lightning speed, thus clawing their way to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. Another sensation happened at the international event: BLG made it to the grand finals, only to lose to JD Gaming.
Another plus for BLG is the roster renewed at Long Conference 2023. The club managed to assemble a top company.
- BLG roster: Bin, XUN, knight, Elk, ON.
After a really triumphant half-year, Bilibili Gaming has not slowed down at all. The team was the first to reach the play-offs of LPL Summer 2023, and also set a local record: the only one in the history of the series finished the group stage with one defeat.
In the first match of the play-offs, TES faced off. The game was played under the dictation of vice-champions LPL Spring 2023 and BLG beat TES very confidently with a score of 3-1.
In the final of the upper grid Bilibili Gaming played against their principal rival - JD Gaming team. The reigning LPL champions left their colleagues no chance and shut down BLG with a score of 3-0.
Unlike the spring split, BLG had a slightly less confident performance in the summer. The vice-champions of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 ended the summer split in third place, Ledgeiv in the match to advance to the LNG Esports Grand Final with a 1-3 score.
Bilibili Gaming got a pretty serious opponent in their first match at Worlds 2023. Yagao and company played against South Korea's top 3, KT Rolster, and in a 45 minute battle they were stronger.
Next up was JD Gaming and there was no way to win. However, Ledge and the first team of China, BLG got a "free" round against Fnatic, thus making the score 2-1.
BLG ran into T1 in a 2-1 basket and it didn't bode well for the Chinese club. T1 won and went on to advance, while Bilibili Gaming travelled to the net 2-2.
In the final Swiss clash, they met G2 Esports. Bilibili won 2-1, sending the first team in Europe home.
In the first round of play-offs Bilibili Gaming met Gen.G. After a rather easy 2-0, the Korean Grand equalised at 2-2, and everything was decided on the 5th map. It was decided in favour of BLG, who caught Chovy a few times on Akali, and eventually sent Gen.G home empty-handed.
However, after defeating Gen.G, Bilibili Gaming failed to beat their compatriots from WBG in the match to qualify for the Worlds 2023 Grand Final.
BLG faced Royal Never Give Up in their opening match already at Demacia Cup 2023. One of the brightest teams of the group stage failed to do anything against a stronger opponent and eventually left the championship, while BLG celebrated a 3-1 victory. Ninjas in Pyjamas didn't feel Ninjas in Pyjamas in the match to reach the grand finals. Neither did they feel JD Gaming in the final itself.
BLG arrived at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 as the LPL Spring 2024 champions. They got it by outscoring TES in the grand finals by a score of 3-1. MSI 2024 made their debut against PSG Talon and surprisingly, they beat their counterparts very sluggishly with a 3-2 score. And in the next match BLG beat their more formidable opponent T1. But to cope with another representative of LCK, the champions of the spring split Gen.G failed: 1-3 and fell to the bottom net. BLG defeated T1 3-2 in the match to reach the grand final. In the grand final itself, Ledge and Gen.G played.
Later BLG played at Esports World Cup 2024, where they lost in the first round to T1, who eventually won the tournament. Next, Bilibili Gaming resumed play at LPL Summer 2024, where they qualified for Group B in first place in the first stage. At the Rumble Stage, they showed their level as they came away with a 7-1 win to take first place.
Bilibili Gaming made it to Worlds 2024 thanks to their victory at LPL Summer 2024, where they defeated WBG 3-0 in the Grand Final.
They started Worlds 2024 with a solid win over MAD Lions KOI. At 1-0, they faced LNG Esports and lost in the derby. They also lost in a 1-1 basket match where they met T1. After getting to the basket 1-2 defeated PSG Talon.

G2 Esports Form
We continue the analysis of the match G2 Esports - Bilibili Gaming with the analysis of G2 form. In this match, the absolute European champion will play as the number two with odds to win around 3.1.
At the beginning of last season, the Samurai made their way to the UK capital to participate in MSI 2023 by winning the LEC Winter draw. Then G2 made it to the grand finals without much trouble, also beating MAD Lions quite easily
At LEC Spring 2023, G2 Esports played worse. They entered the play-offs of the tournament from the second match of their group, making it to the bottom of the play-offs. While there, they played against the Lions again, but were unable to repeat the success of the LEC Spring 2023: G2 Esports dropped out of the LEC Spring 2023 playoffs, but made it to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023.
- G2 Esports roster: BrokenBlade, Yike, Caps, Hans Sama, Mikyx.
Play-In for G2 Esports is successful and even easier than BLG's. G2 Esports didn't feel LOUD and easily shut down PSG Talon, beating both clubs 2-0.
Things were no longer as rosy in the Bracket Stage. In the first round, G2 Esports played Gen.G, probably the main contender for the championship title, and managed to take a card from them, which in the realities of today's competitive scene is more than good.
In the bottom set, G2 Esports met their main rival, MAD Lions. The European derby on the international stage ended with a confident victory for G2, confirming them as the best team in the LEC.
At the end of the only international event so far, G2 Esports finished in the top 6. The result is a good one.
Before the LEC Finals, the Samurai took another trophy to their headquarters. It was the trophy for the victory at LEC Summer 2023, where G2 easily defeated EXCEL in the Grand Final.
In the first round of LEC Finals 2023, G2 Esports played against Team BDS. The French gave a fight, but failed to pull more than 1 map.
G2 Esports had no problems first with MAD Lions to advance to the grand finals of LEC Finals 2023, and then in the finals they defeated Fnatic.
In the first match on the main stage of the year, G2 Esports played against Dplus. Being an outsider, the team managed to beat the titular Koreans, all thanks to Hans Sama's crowning Draven. Then they managed to beat not just anyone, but WBG, who subsequently took the top 2.
And then came the miscues, and quite serious ones at that. First they lost to Gen 0-2, then to Ledge or NRG 0-2 (which was a shocker), and finally they dropped out of Worlds 2023 after losing to Bibili Gaming.
G2 Esports will start their journey to LEC Winter 2024 with a match against BDS, one of G2's main rivals on their way to their championship. Expect a solid performance from G2. Next up will be a match against Karmine Corp, where it should be easier than the game against BDS. In fact it was, but the match with Rogue was probably the first sensation of last week, because G2 Ledgeili. Well, that's what a Bo1 is to a Bo1.
During the regular season, LEC Winter 2024 demonstrated a standard game for themselves. G2 Esports won 7 out of 9 matches, sharing the top 1 of the table with BDS.
In the Long Corner play-offs LEC Winter 2024, G2 Esports easily defeated GiantX 2-0. Next, G2 Esports faced Fnatic in the quarter-finals, where the Orange looked good: they were able to pick up a map, but it didn't affect the outcome of the match. Next, G2 Esports met BDS in a match to advance to the grand finals and swatted the Frenchmen 3-0 without a hitch. Almost the same fate awaited MAD Lions KOI in the grand finals, with only one card difference.
G2 Esports attended the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 and showed a very solid result there. They managed to reach the top 4, which is a pretty high result for a team from LEC.
Before the Esports World Cup 2024, G2 Esports guaranteed themselves a place in the play-offs of LEC Summer 2024. At the EWC 2024 itself, G2 Esports Long Sogpeg with a win over FlyQuest, but then Ledgeili TES in advancing to the grand finals.
The LEC Summer 2024 Playoffs started with a pretty solid 2-0 win over Karmine Corp. Next, an equally easy win over BDS and as a result, they made it to the top 3. In the match to reach the grand final of the upper grid of LEC Summer 2024, G2 Esports played against Fnatic, where they lost with a score of 2-3. In the lower grid match, they defeated BDS 3-2 and went on to become LEC Summer 2024 champions by defeating Fnatic in the final.
LEC Season Finals 2024 Long Long started with an unexpected defeat to MAD Lions KOI (2-3). However, this didn't stop G2 from comingback through the bottom set, defeating all opponents and eventually becoming the champions of LEC Season Finals 2024.
Their debut at Worlds 2024 came in a match against paiN Gaming, where G2 was stomped by the combination of Yone + Yasuo. In the next match, against LCK Summer 2024 champions Hanwha Life Esports, taqi fThe Internationals didn't work and G2 lost. But they got into the net 2-1, winning the WBG in a pretty confident manner. In the play-offs match they met T1 and those proved to be no match for them.

The last time they played each other was in 2023.
Predicted result of Bilibili Gaming vs G2 Esports at Worlds 2024
By the looks of it, G2 Esports will be left out of the play-offs again. It's hard to imagine the European title team outplaying the LPL champions in a Bo3 match. Especially after a rather lacklustre loss to T1 on two maps. I would like to see a full-fledged bo3, but I'm afraid it won't happen.
Bottom line: victory BLG.
