We're continuing to break down what's going on at the LPL Rumble Stage. It's basically the group stage of the top Chinese League, where the strongest teams in the world battle it out.
We will talk about what is happening in the "top basket". More specifically - about the top match JD Gaming - TOP Esports.

Let's open the analysis of TES vs JD Gaming match with the analysis of TES form. In this match, they play as favourites with odds to win around 1.4.
In 2022, Top Esports finished top-2 in the domestic league twice, and then made two appearances at Worlds 2022, where they finished top-10. In the new season, the situation is slightly worse: they finished top-7 in the LPL Spring 2023, managing to qualify for the play-offs but failing to win a single game there.

The group stage for TOP Esports was pleasant, but far from perfect. TES shared the top 4 of the regular season with LNG, winning 12-4 in the series.
In their first play-offs match, TES faced serious resistance from EDG. TES defeated their counterparts by a score of 3-2.
TES fell to the bottom seed after a clash with Bilibili Gaming. That match ended in a 3-1 victory for the latter. Further bad luck continued in the lower grid of LPL Summer 2023. In the match for life at the tournament TES met LNG Esports, tried to impose a fight, but were powerless, lost with a score of 1-3 and left the tournament on the 4th line.
TES later played at the LPL Regional Finals 2023, where they tried to make it to the Worlds. Again they came up just short, as TES Ledge beat WBG 2-3, thus losing their chances of making it to Worlds 2023.
TES also had NEST 2023, where TES did not make it out of the group, finishing 2-1. The group stage of Demacia Cup 2023 was quite easy for TOP Esports: they didn't lose a single match in Group D and easily made it to the main stage. However, in the play-offs, TES did not have the same ease: TOP Esports lost their first play-offs match to Ledgeiv JDG 2-3, which is not too bad considering the overall condition of the teams during the last season.
TOP Esports had a very good LPL Spring 2024 regular season: the team went 13-3, thus advancing straight to the Double-Elimination stage. In their first round of play-offs, TES played against JD Gaming and easily stomped them 3-0. Next were BLG in the match for the play-offs and there unfolded a real drama with a 3-2 victory in favour of Bilibili Gaming. In the LPL Spring 2024 Grand Finals, TES played against JD Gaming and were outplayed for the second time.

In the first match of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 Top Esports easily defeated LOUD with a score of 2-0. In the Bracket Stage match, TES played against Fnatic, where they won 2-1. They made their Bracket Stage debut with a solid 3-0 win over Liquid. Next was a defeat to Gen.G, followed by a loss to G2 Esports and, as a result, a top-6 finish.
In the first match of Esports World Cup 2024, TES defeated Gen.G and then defeated G2 Esports. However, they were unlucky to fall to T1 in the grand finals and were unable to beat them.
At LPL Summer 2024 TES confidently passed the first stage, taking the 1st place in the basket with a score of 6-0. At the Rumble Stage, the team's score was 5-2.

We continue the analysis of the match JD Gaming - TOP Esports with the analysis of JD Gaming's form. In this match they will play the second number with odds to win around 2.1.
JD Gaming became the champions of the LPL spring draw quite easily. The only difficult match came in the semifinals of the top net, where BLG gave JDG trouble by taking 2 games.

In the LPL Summer 2023 grand finals, LNG Esports gave a serious fight to the formidable JDG. Scout and company took 2 maps at once, but they were not enough to win.
JDG debuted with a victory over BDS. We would like to mention the European club, which kept in the game till about 20 minutes. It was expected that the defeat would be much bigger than the final 14-6 in favour of the Chinese.
The second match JD Gaming played against Bilibili Gaming, vice-champions of MSI 2023 and LPL Spring 2023. Being the top team in China, JDG easily defeated the third team from the Middle Kingdom, closing the series with a 19-7 score in 24 minutes.
In the play-offs match, JD Gaming played against their compatriots from LNG Esports. They won the match, but not without problems (2-1).
In the first play-offs match JD Gaming played against KT Rolster. Losing the first map, JDG showed why they are considered the main contender to win Worlds 2023: absolutely dominant game without any chances for KT Rolster residents.
Next, the situation was the exact opposite. Facing T1, JDG managed to take only one card in the bo5 series. The defeat by T1 ended JDG's Golden Road in 2023.
JD Gaming started the play-offs of Demacia Cup 2023 with a match against TOP Esports. There, JDG won with a score of 3-2. In the previous match, JDG demolished Rare Atom with a score of 3-0. In the Demacia Cup 2023 grand final, however, they were weaker than BLG, losing 0-3 and finishing top 2.
In the LPL Spring 2024 regular season, JD Gaming finished in 3rd place with a 13-3 record. The first play-offs opponent for JDG was Weibo Gaming and JDG did well: they won 3-0. But in the next game against TOP Esports the outcome was much less favourable for JDG, where TES lost 0-3. JD Gaming met NiP in the match for the top 3 and that match was a real test for JDG, which they hardly coped with. However, they couldn't get any further into the top 3, as TES stepped in and knocked JD Gaming out of LPL Spring 2024.
At LPL Summer 2024, in the updated format, JD Gaming Long Sogpeg from Group A Opening Stage, where they rolled over their opponents, closing it with a score of 6-0. In the group stage, the top basket, JD Gaming are in 5th place with a score of 4-3.
