No surprises - summing up the results of the second day at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters Berlin

The second game day of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters Berlin has come to an end, which means that it's time to take stock. On this day, we watched three matches, in which there were no surprises.

Vision Strikers - Paper Rex

In the derby of oriental teams, a clear favorite in the name of Vision Strikers has already emerged on the Haven map. The South Korean team confidently outplayed the opponent in their choice, going to finish off Paper Rex on the second map.

However, the first difficulties began at Icebox, as Vision Strikers had to recoup after a bad start. Nevertheless, ten rounds in attack allowed the team from South Korea to win the first victory in this tournament - 2: 0.

Gambit - Crazy Raccoon

Even before the start of the second meeting, it was clear that the Japanese team would not be able to impose a fight on the favorite, namely the Gambit team. However, it was difficult to expect such a defeat, since Crazy Raccoon won only two rounds on two maps in total. It goes without saying that Gambit left a loud claim for the future, having won the most devastating victory in this tournament - 2: 0.

Keyd Stars - Team Envy

In the evening, the struggle was enough to believe in the prospects of the Brazilian team. Already on the first map, Keyd Stars could create a sensation and come out ahead until it failed in the ending. As a result, Team Envy was able to transfer Icebox to overtime, where it turned out to be stronger - 15:13.

On the Bind map, an uncompromising struggle began again, which could end in both directions. However, the North American team showed a strong ending for the second time, having recorded the final victory with a score of 13: 9.

Today, September 12, the final match of the first round between KRÜ Esports and ZETA DIVISION will take place. Immediately after that, the North Americans from the Sentinels will join the fight and try to punish G2. Well, in the evening we will recognize the first participant of the playoffs, who will be determined by Gambit and 100 Thieves in a head-to-head battle.

VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin takes place from September 10-19 at the Verti Music Hall with a total prize pool of $ 700,000. The winner of the tournament will receive not only a solid cash prize, but also the right to take part in VALORANT Champions 2021 at the end of the year, which will also be held in Berlin.
