Version1 finished off Crazy Raccoon at VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík and advanced to the quarterfinals to face Team Liquid. In turn, the Japanese team fell into the lower bracket of the championship, where they will expect the losing pair of Team Vikings - X10 Esports.

The match turned out to be very intriguing. If before the start of the confrontation, many expected to see an easy walk for Version1, then already in the course of the first map it became clear that the Japanese team did not intend to give up so easily. The streak began on Ascent, which quickly faded in favor of Version1. However, after the change of sides, Crazy Raccoon began to confidently gain momentum and close the gap, and even get ahead. Nevertheless, the North American team managed to pull themselves together, showing several strong rounds in the attack, which ensured the victory on the opponent's choice - 13:11.

Icebox started out in a similar scenario, as Version1, despite a long pause at the start of the map, was able to show a confident attack, winning nine rounds before switching sides. However, Crazy Raccoon managed to return to the game and fight again. Nevertheless, everything was cut short again in the very ending, as the North Americans were able to shoot the opponent in one of the last rounds, thereby closing all the questions - 13:10.
