M0NESY on the victory in Cologne: "Our triumph has become an unforgettable moment in history"

G2 Esports sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov shared his emotions after the victory at IEM Cologne 2023 in CS:GO. He expressed his joy that his team was able to secure victories in two significant tournaments of this series within a year and leave their mark in the history of this discipline.

This is a valuable experience. I feel a profound joy for our team and myself, as we managed to secure victories at both Katowice and Cologne tournaments. These two events are my true favorites of the year. And the Major, which encompasses three of my beloved competitions. I believe this is truly significant. We've left our mark in history as the champions of the latest CS:GO tournament in Cologne. In the future, if I have the opportunity to play with young players, I will gladly pass on this experience to them.

Osipov also emphasized that the victories at IEM Cologne and IEM Katowice will bring the team additional confidence for upcoming tournaments.

It's hard to say how significant this victory will be in the context of CS 2. <...> It gives me a sense of confidence. There are still many tournaments ahead in CS:GO: in Riyadh, EPL in Malta. It's very important to achieve success there. However, when you become a winner in two outstanding championships within a year, your self-confidence greatly increases.
