The second CS:GO tournament organized by online sports betting website Cyber.Bet has come to its end. Bulgarian team FATE became the winner of Cyber.Bet Summer Cup 2020. In the best of five grand final of the event, they beat HellRaisers 3:2, despite being down 0:2.

Cyber.Bet Summer Cup 2020 is the second CS:GO tournament organized by a licensed online bookmaker Cyber.Bet. The previous event named Cyber.Bet Cup was held on March 6-12. The French roster of the Spanish organization Heretics featuring two times Major winner Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey became the champion of that tournament. Another event by Cyber.Bet was Dota 2 Spring Series with such teams as OG.Seed, LGD.Int, Geek Fam, Team Unique, and Viking.gg.

Cyber.Bet Summer Cup with the prize pool of $10 000 gathered FATE, HellRaisers, Illuminar, SKADE, Unicorns of Love, Ambush, APEKS, and Budapest Five. The event lasted from June 15 to June 26, and a total of 16 matches were played. It is worth mentioning that FATE became the last-minute substitute for the ex-SMASH roster. They have changed two players, and this event was one of their first severe tests.

FATE took the first place in their group and beat SKADE in the Bulgarian derby in the play-off. They were close to qualifying to the grand final through the upper bracket. Bulgarians had four match-points on the upper bracket final decider map versus HellRaisers but somehow ended up losing in overtime.

They decisively beat Polish team Illuminar with one of the best players of 2010s Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski in their roster in the lower bracket final, but then had serious troubles in the grand final. They lost their pick Train and were down 0:2 as HR got the one map advantage. Vertigo, which is far not the best FATE’s map, was played next, but Bulgarians showed their will to win and won it in the overtime.

This inspired FATE to make a reverse sweep and win the series 3:2. The Bulgarian team earned $6000, while HellRaisers got $3000 for the second place. Illuminar stayed third and made $1000.

In the upcoming future we are expecting even bigger events to be hosted by Cyber.bet.
Despite being a sports bookmaker, Cyber.Bet also offers esports betting options and supports different online Dota 2 and CS:GO events. Those tournaments are one of the fundamentals of the professional gaming scene. It allows newcomers to compete with experienced athletes and prove themselves on a pro-level. Such world-class stars as Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi, or Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen asserted themselves at such events.
