On the whole, the tournament was not so unpredictable. The majority of rosters performed as successfully as it had been expected, and all the teams from the category “Favorites” made it to the playoff.

AVANGAR

Despite the fact that the Kazakh team made it to the final stage, the players were not able to equal the hope about them. The team beat Besiktas 16-2 and defeated Heroic 16-14. At the semifinal, the battle between AVANGAR and CR4ZY was uneasy for both participants but in the end, the Kazakh lost and completed participation being one step away from the final. It was mentioned in our preview that AVANGAR was one of the favorites and at the group stage we could see that this statement was not too loud. At the final stage, AVANGAR almost made it to the final and satisfied our hopes, but as a result, Jame and his teammates took the 3-4 place at the championship. Their efforts brought $10,000 to the team.

CR4ZY

The European roster surpassed our expectations. We told that the team had a chance of making it to the playoff as their opponents in Group B were not the strongest and we were right. Nevertheless, we were not sure that the team would make it to the grand final but CR4ZY was able to both beat AVANGAR 2-1 at the semifinal and to win over Heroic with the same result.

EspiranTo became the best player of the final match as it had been expected. The esportsman played three maps with the statistics 71-55 and 1.27 as the rating.

The recently collected team got the main monetary reward of $50,000 for their work.

Others

Heroic

Heroic's way to the playoff was hard. Nevertheless, the team showed that they had got a direct invitation from the organizers for a reason. At the group stage, Heroic beat HARD LEGION Esports and lost a difficult battle with AVANGAR. After that, the Danish didn't let HARD LEGION Esports win a rematch and made it to the final stage. There they managed to fight with forZe on equal terms and defeating them 2-1, passed to the grand final. By that moment, CR4ZY got into great shape and received a morale boost after their victory over the main favorite AVANGAR. Heroic could not oppose their opponents not having enough fighting power to get a trophy and as a result, the players became silver winners. Their efforts brought a monetary reward of $20,000 to the Danish team.

forZe

forZe rounds out the four participants in the playoff at today's match. The CIS team, as well as CR4ZY, had to play less competitive teams. In Group B, they met worthy opposition from Europeans from CR4ZY, however, forZe fought with Asterion and HAVU Gaming. We should mark that fighting with the first one, Jerry and his teammates lost only one round, and the meeting with HAVU was much more violent and ended up with 16-14.

At the playoff, forZe fought with Heroic on equal terms, but in the end, the same as AVANGAR, stopped one step away from the final, taking the 3-4 position in the tournament bracket, and got a monetary reward of $10,000.

HARD LEGION Esports

HARD LEGION Esports, also known as ex-DreamEaters, did not inspire trust and as we can see the fact that we treated the team skeptically was not in vain. The team got to Group A together with AVANGAR, Heroic, and Besiktas Esports. HARD LEGION, as it had been expected, but they could not do anything against Besiktas, and at the battles with Heroic did not result in victory for them. Svyat and his teammates took the 5-6 place and the players got a monetary reward of $3,000.

HAVU Gaming

HAVU Gaming had a chance of passing to the playoff, as they got to the group with forZe, CR4ZY, and Asterion. It wasn't big, but still, it was. HAVU could not realize its potential. The players defeated CR4ZY, but they lost the battle with forZe. The final battle against CR4ZY turned out to be fateful for the Finnish and the Europeans managed to win a rematch with HAVU Gaming. That's why they took the 3 place in their group and the 5-6 position in the tournament bracket, correspondingly. The money award for the Finnish team consisted of $3,000.

Besiktas Esports and Asterion

Whoever expected Besiktas and Asterion to perform well — their person is bad at CS:GO. The female team and the roster holding the 97 position cannot pretend to victory or at least entering the playoff. As it had been expected, the teams took the last places in their groups and showed the worst results of the championship. At the first match, Besiktas managed to win only two rounds playing with AVANGAR and when Asterion was playing forZe, the match brought only one round for them.

Conclusion

As a result, everything happened as we had supposed in our preview except for AVANGAR. This team stopped one step away from the final when we expected to see them in the final and even to win the event.
