Reflecting on the past event, it becomes apparent that the matches of the Group Stage of The Bali Major 2023 in Dota 2 did not reach the same level of popularity as the games presented at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023. These findings were reported by the analytical portal Esports Charts.

It turns out that the total viewing hours during the Bali Major amounted to an impressive 8.1 million. The average online viewership reached 144.1 thousand, with a peak of 255.8 thousand viewers. The showdown between Gaimin Gladiators and Quest Esports emerged as particularly popular, attracting approximately 214.8 thousand fans simultaneously.

However, when comparing these results with those of the ESL One Berlin Major 2023, a noticeable decline in interest becomes evident. The total viewing time decreased by 26%, the average online viewership dropped by 27%, and the peak moment decreased by 21%.

Such a decline in metrics may be attributed to the inconvenient time zone of the event, causing many viewers to miss the early matches of the day. Additionally, the lack of intrigue plays a role as 8 out of the 12 teams that will receive direct invitations to The International 2023 are already known, resulting in a reduced competition for DPC points.
