Group A at Bali Major 2023 continues and we have a match between Aster and Beastcoast coming up. Before the Long Songpeg of the tournament such a match seemed to be a top spectacle, but after the first matches of the championship it became clear that the teams are at slightly different levels of performance.

However, both teams still have a chance of qualifying for the top flight play-offs or, indeed, simply for the main stage of the championship. There's still plenty of time for that, but we have to hurry.

We'll try to see who, if any, will come out on top in this encounter and pick up the group stage points they need.

We'll start the tournament by analyzing Team Aster's form. In this encounter, the Chinese club will play number one.

The bookmakers confirm the advantage of Team Aster. The odds on Team Aster to win the match are around 1.7.

To tell the truth, such a figure looks rather odd. Aster's lead is a bit too small for my taste. Still, they look a bit more lively than the current Beastcoast, who also play with a new player.

In the first round of DPC 2023 Team Aster "gave" the lead in the region, Ledgeiv on the PSG.LGD. Following a top-2 at DPC 2023: China Upper Division, Team Aster went to Peru, where they played an "average" game, with Monet and company finishing in the top-8.

In the second round of DPC 2023: China Upper Division Team Aster finished in the Top 4, which was already noticeably worse than last time. However, it was enough to qualify for the Berlin Major 2023. At the Berlin tournament, SumaiL, the club's current star, made his debut for Aster. Truth be told, the debut was not the most successful (Top 8), but as a test for the new mid-laner - fine.

Before that, Aster played at DreamLeague S19. In DreamLeague S19, Aster were in the top 9-10. Then, after some frustrating tiebreaks, they failed to make it out of the group.

After that was DPC 2023: China Tour 3. The home league ended in third place for Aster, which can hardly be called a successful result.

However, showing at least some effectiveness in the international arena has not always been possible. A prime example is the recent DreamLeague Season 20, completely failed by Aster. At the 1,000,000 tournament, the Chinese top club crashed out of the second group stage, which was still better than Liquid's result.

The Bali Major 2023 started very well for Aster. At the end of the first day, the team had a 3-1 result, which hints at their passage to the top of the play-offs, but it is still too early to draw final conclusions.

Rubick appeared in spades most often - 6 matches, 50% wins. Keeper of The Light and Storm Spirit were also in spades (5 matches, 80% wins).

There was Monkey King, Underlord, Terrorblade, and Pugna (4 matches, 75% wins each).

Form Beastcoast

We continue with our analysis of Beastcoast's form. In this encounter, they will be destined to catch up.

The bookmakers agree with the state of affairs. The odds on BC victory in this match are in the region of 2.1.

Again, this is not the odds I was expecting. Of course, beastcoast can show a decent game, because the team is experienced, but at the Bali Major 2023 looks so-so.

The team won the first season of the league, taking the top 1 with zero in the loss column. Yes, they had a bit of bad luck on the international stage: Lima Major 2023 ended in the top-12 for bc, and it was their fellow regional Evil Geniuses who kept them out of the next DPC cycle.

Later Beastcoast took part in DPC 2023 SA Tour 2 Division 1 where the result was identical: 7-0 in regular season and passage to ESL One Berlin Major 2023. The international scene was not for Beastcoast this season - Berlin ended in the top 14 for them, even worse than The Lima Major 2023.

In between was DreamLeague S19, where bc played so-so, but better than the Major ahs. The team finished in the top 6 there and that's their best showing so far on The International stage.

In the third round of DPC 2023: SA Division 1 beastcoast already finished in the top 2. EG have climbed to the top of the domestic league in full strength.

At the end of the first days, the Beastcoast were in the middle of the standings with a score of 2-2. On the second game day, the team earned another draw against the weakest team in the group, Blacklist.

The most popular beastcoast heroes

Beastcoast had Tusk and Snapfire among their most chosen heroes. Both have appeared in the Peruvian club six times with Tusk getting a 66% win rate and Snapfire a 33% win rate.

Also taking Enchantress (5 matches, 60% wins) and Tiny (5 matches, 40% wins). Also in spades are Terrorblade (4 matches, 100% wins), Pangolier (4 matches, 75% wins) and Batrider (4 matches, 50% win rate).

History of head-to-head encounters

Previously, the teams have played each other 3 times. Two matches ended in a draw, and one was won by Aster, but with the score 2-1.

Result of the match

It looks like the most logical option here would be to bet on a drawn card from Beastcoast. However, I'm willing to believe in Aster's success. I think SumaiL and company will show their maximum not to let the victory out of their hands by outplaying the chaotic Peruvians.
