Yesterday's game day did not change the arrangement of affairs in the group stage table too much, but the leader was determined in the top ten.

13 august

On August 13, two confrontations took place within the group stage of the Korean League of Legends, LCK Summer 2021. In the first of the matches, Gen.G Esports and Brion Esports played against each other. The first map was fast enough and finished in 26 minutes in favor of Gen.G Esports. On the second map, Brion Esports drew the game, taking it in 35 minutes. On the third map, the battle lasted the longest, namely 43 minutes and the victory went to Gen.G Esports. This helped Gen.G go a small lead over Afreeca Freecs and strengthen its position in the standings, taking the 4th position in it. Brin Esports, in turn, no longer have a chance of reaching the top 6, and therefore the playoffs.

In the second fight, DRX and Nongshim RedForce fought. This meeting was much calmer than the previous fight. The first map went to the Nongshim RedForce asset 35 minutes after its start. After the victory over DRX, the team gained confidence and performed even better on the second map, taking it in 29 minutes. The victory allowed the team to reach the top and gain a foothold in the 1st place in the group stage table. Nongshim RedForce has 12 wins and 5 losses.

August 14

Today one match between DWG KIA and Liiv SANDBOX Gaming managed to be completed. On the first map DWG KIA played quite well and managed to take the victory from their opponent in 30 minutes. The second lasted only one minute less and the triumph allowed the players from DWG KIA to count not only on reaching the playoffs, but to take their place among the participants of the semifinals. This privilege is given to the teams that took 1-2 place in the LCK Summer 2021 group table.

Tomorrow's game day will provide Nongshim RedForce and T1 with an opportunity to compete for first place in the playoffs and, accordingly, their place in the semifinals. However, the teams will not fight with each other, but with other opponents. T1 will face off against Hanvwha Life Esports, while Nongshim RedForce will play against Gen.G Esports.

Right now Afreeca Freecs and KT Rolster are playing between each other, but this fight will mean nothing to them. Afreeca Freecs have already secured a place in the playoffs, and KT Rolster failed to score enough wins to advance to the semi-finals.
