Riot Games announced that the VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier, scheduled for Thursday October 14, has been rescheduled. In the announcement, the development team said they are continuing to work to address issues that prevent safe and fair competition.
The announcement came a few hours after the chaotic second day of VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier, during which all three matches of the day were canceled due to controversy over Rise, FaZe Clan, coronavirus testing and playing terms.

- Yesterday, players complained about the fact that the LAN tournament is played on regular servers with a ping of 30+.
- Today, shortly before the FaZe Clan - Rise match, it becomes known that FaZe Clan players have passed positive coronavirus tests and will be playing from the numbers/training base.
- Rise considered this situation unfair, since they would have to play from an arena where computers are locked at 140 FPS.
- Rise's coach says their match has been postponed indefinitely.
- The journalist Jake Lucky writes that the teams are extremely unhappy with the organization of the LAN tournament, and one of the teams wants to refuse to participate at all.
- Shanks starts a stream where he says that they are packing up and leaving, not wanting to play in the arena.
- An official announcement is released stating that the tournament has been suspended for today, and Riot Games is looking into how to safely continue the LAN.
No announcements have been made at this time regarding Friday's matches or the status of the rest of the tournament in the future.
