Diablo 4: Best Spiritborn Leveling Build

On October 8, the first expansion for Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred, was released. The DLC tells the story of Neyrelle and her journey in the "struggle" against Mephisto.
Apart from the narrative content, Vessel of Hatred brought many gameplay changes, which you can read about here. However, the most significant addition from October 8 was the introduction of a new class – Spiritborn, a native of the new Nahantu region, where the main story quests of Vessel of Hatred will unfold.
If you, like us, have been waiting for Vessel of Hatred to try Spiritborn in combat, it’s helpful to know how to quickly level up this class. We’ve prepared the best Spiritborn leveling build to help you reach level 60 faster and start diving into endgame content.
Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn Abilities Priority for Leveling

In battle, Spiritborn relies, unsurprisingly, on the power of spirits, which is reflected in the class name itself. The abilities and leveling are based on using one of the four spirits (Centipede, Eagle, Gorilla, and Jaguar), or stances, if you prefer.
In my opinion, the best leveling build for Spiritborn is Quill Volley Eagle, thanks to its dynamic gameplay and fast enemy clearing, especially since enemies in the Season of Hatred (Diablo 4 Season 6) have become more resilient.
Below, I will show how the abilities are leveled up at level 60.
Basic Skills
- Rock Splitter (1/5) – Enhanced Rock Splitter (1/1)
Core Skills
- Quill Volley (7/5) – Enhanced Quill Volley (1/1) – Advantageous Quill Volley (1/1)

- Resilient (2/3) – Brilliance (3/3) – Acceleration (3/3) – Potent (3/3)

Key Passive
- Vital Strikes (1/1)
This is how the Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn abilities will look at level 60. The most important ability, which you will use constantly without exaggeration, is Quill Volley Eagle, and of course, Vital Strikes, which makes enemies under the Vulnerable status easy prey.
Spiritborn Class Quest
Upon reaching level 15, you will unlock the class quest, allowing you to upgrade two of your abilities. This quest is worth completing as soon as possible, as it will provide a significant boost to your build.
The Spiritborn quest begins in Gea Kul, Kehjistan, and after a few steps, you will gain access to the Spirit Hall. At level 15, you choose Eagle, which applies the Vulnerable effect to enemies, and at level 30, the Jaguar spirit helps you gain Ferocity stacks.
Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn Build Resources Solving
To maximize Spiritborn while leveling up, it’s essential to stick to the basic ability rotation. Until you unlock Vital Strikes Key Passive, don’t spam Quill Volley excessively, and don’t waste Vigor carelessly. The optimal use of your primary nuke lies in pulling a large group of mobs into one place and then attacking.
Passive skills such as Vigorous – Velocity help generate Vigor while casting Core Skills and moving.
Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn Aspects
Like the other five classes in Diablo 4, Spiritborn has many useful aspects that will enhance both leveling and other activities in the game. For the Quill Volley Eagle Leveling Build, several important aspects are necessary for maximum efficiency.
The key aspect in this build is Rebounding. This aspect adds explosive damage to your Core Skill Quill Eagle and is essential for the build. You can easily obtain it, as this legendary aspect drops in the dungeon Forge of Malice in Nahantu. The best place to insert it is in an amulet for an additional 50% effectiveness.
In the chest slot, the Aspect of Disobedience works best, which grants armor stacks for four seconds based on the percentage of damage you’ve dealt. This drops in the Halls of the Damned dungeon.
For the pants slot, use the Aspect of Turbulence, which adds damage when using Soar and drops after completing Ruined Wild in Nahantu.
Finally, for the boots slot, add the Aspect of Haste. It increases speed when moving, and you can obtain it in the Seething Underpass dungeon in Nahantu.
As you can see, all these aspects can be obtained easily by clearing dungeons, and most of them drop in the Nahantu region.
Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn Items & Stats

When leveling the Quill Eagle Spiritborn Build, you will frequently change your equipment. This is due to the drops of more valuable items in the later stages of the game, so there is no critical attachment to specific items.
Below is a table of item stats that will be useful for leveling.
Items | Stats |
Head | Fire Resistance, Armor, Ravager On Kill Duration Extension |
Chest | Lightning Resistance, Armor, Dexterity, Ravager On Kill Duration Extension |
Gloves | Ranks to Quill Volley, Critical Strike Chance, Eagle Damage |
Pants | Shadow Resistance, Maximum Life, Dexterity. Chance to Freeze for 2 Seconds |
Boots | Movement Speed, Poison Resistance, Maximum Life, Movement Speed |
Mainhand Weapon | Dexterity, Damage, Eagle Damage |
Amulet | Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, Movement Speed, Eagle Damage |
Ring 1 | Critical Strike Chance, Attack Speed |
Ring 2 | Critical Strike Chance, Cold Resistance |
In addition, you have a chance to find Unique Items that will undoubtedly be useful. Among them are the weapon Sepazontec, the helm Loyalty's Mantle, and the chest piece Jacinth Shell. All of these are suitable for Endgame Builds, so finding them will be a stroke of luck.
Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn Runes
Finally, to fully complete the Quill Volley Eagle Spiritborn build, you need to install two runes in the corresponding slots in your character's inventory. The rune mechanic is a highlight of Season 6, Season of Hatred.
The best rune combination for Quill Volley Eagle is the pairing of Xol + Kry. These runes will allow the core skill Quill Volley to deal even more damage at close range.
So, this is the best Spiritborn leveling build at the start of Season 6, Season of Hatred. I hope you found this helpful, and stay with us to learn more about Diablo 4 news and updates on Season of Hatred.
