Oxygen and FunPlus Phoenix Leave VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs

The third game day at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs has come to an end. Contrary to the schedule, we managed to watch four battles, as a result of which two teams said goodbye to the dream of going to Germany for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. The Oxygen and FunPlus Phoenix teams became these losers, but we propose to dwell on everything in more detail.
First, we saw two additional games. However, as such, these events did not present us with intrigue, since G2 and SuperMassive Blaze confidently finished the second maps, having recorded two dry victories over Oxygen and FunPlus Phoenix, respectively.
In the main part of the championship, the same Oxygen met with Team Liquid. But the fight turned out to be extremely simple for the European team, which tore and threw on two maps, giving the team from Turkey only four rounds in total.
The following players forZe and FunPlus Phoenix entered the server, and this fight was the most memorable. The first map, as expected, went into the treasury of the European team (13: 4), while on the second we witnessed a real meat grinder. As a result, forZe was able to equalize in the series, winning on Bind with a score of 24:22, simultaneously setting a new record for card duration. Well, on the third decisive map, the Russian team managed to finish what they had begun, sensationally defeating FunPlus Phoenix - 2: 1.
Tomorrow, August 15, the remaining meetings of the first round of the lower bracket will take place. First, Fire Flux Esports will try to deal with Guild Esports, and in the evening we will watch the battle between Giants Gaming and Natus Vincere.
