Gambit and G2 will go to VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin
The next game day within the framework of VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs has ended, which has determined all the participants of the upcoming VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin. Following the results of the semifinals of the lower bracket, the teams Gambit and G2 will go to Germany, which were able to defeat Team Liquid (2: 1) and Giants Gaming (2: 1), respectively.
The game day began with a meeting between Gambit and Team Liquid. However, the "liquid" already on the first map showed character, taking the victory at the peak of the opponent. Nevertheless, the Russian team played not only in a similar vein, taking control of Bind, but also defeated Liquid with a score of 13: 3. Well, the climax of the fight was the Icebox map, on which the teams survived to overtime. And yet the guys from Gambit turned out to be stronger than they guaranteed themselves a trip to Berlin.
Next came G2 and Giants Gaming. This match also involved the exchange of spades. And if Davidp and company were shining on Icebox, then on Bind the G2 players literally raged, removing their opponent from their path. However, contrary to all expectations, the third map passed unnoticed for Giants Gaming, which not only took only four rounds, but also left the championship.
Today, August 20, two matches will take place within the framework of the championship: Gambit will play against G2, while the final will take place in the upper bracket - Acend against SuperMassive Blaze.
